Martine Barre has been a Physical Therapist for 12 years. She graduated from Mary Washington College in 2001 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with coursework towards Pre Physical Therapy. After joining AmeriCorps NCCC bringing her out West for a few years, she returned to VA to continue to pursue her Physical Therapy education, receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from Shenandoah University in Winchester VA.
She spent her first 6 years as a Physical Therapist in Beaufort SC working for a comprehensive PT clinic at Beaufort Memorial Hospital where she split her time between Pediatrics and Geriatrics, pursuing continued education in Orthopedics, Vestibular therapy, and NDT.
She returned to VA to the Outpatient setting, investing her time into orthopedics, vestibular and concussion management, return to run/sports programs, and holistic approaches to patients utilizing Trigger Point Dry Needling certification and Cupping. She continues to work towards furthering her expertise with balance and vestibular therapy, Orthopedics, TMJ, and returning all patients, including the weekend warriors, to their prior activity levels and improved quality of life.
