Martine S. Barre, DPT

Martine Barre has been a Physical Therapist since 2009. She graduated from Mary Washington College in 2001 with a Bachelors of Science in Biology with coursework towards Pre Physical Therapy. After joining AmeriCorps NCCC bringing her out West for a few years, she returned to VA to continue to pursue her Physical Therapy education, receiving her Doctorate in Physical Therapy in 2009 from Shenandoah University in Winchester VA.

She spent her first 6 years as a Physical Therapist in Beaufort SC working for a comprehensive PT clinic at Beaufort Memorial Hospital where she split her time between Pediatrics and Geriatrics, pursuing continued education in Orthopedics, Vestibular therapy, and NDT.

She returned to VA to the Outpatient setting, investing her time into orthopedics, vestibular and concussion management, return to run/sports programs, and holistic approaches to patients utilizing Trigger Point Dry Needling certification and Cupping. She continues to work towards furthering her expertise with balance and vestibular therapy, Orthopedics, TMJ, and returning all patients, including the weekend warriors, to their prior activity levels and improved quality of life.

Martine is Co-Owner of LevelUp Physical Therapy & Wellness which opened in March of 2021.

Natasha Pena, DPT, PTA

Natasha has been practicing in the field of Physical Therapy since 2012 when she graduated from St. Philips College in San Antonio, Texas, earning her Associates of Applied Science Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant. In 2014 she returned to school to further her knowledge earning her bachelor’s degree in 2016 from PIMA Medical Institute in Mesa, AZ. Natasha earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of St. Augustine in Florida in (2023). Natasha is Co-Owner of LevelUp Physical Therapy and Wellness which opened in March of 2021.

Natasha has worked primarily in outpatient orthopedics and sports medicine rehabilitation, frequently attending continuing educational courses and conferences to further her knowledge and expertise in working with athletes of all levels and ages from youth to collegiate athletes as well as military and weekend warriors. Additionally, she is trained in Vestibular Rehabilitation and Concussion Management as well as Running Gait Analysis, Pelvic Health, Golf Bio-Mechancis and Rehabilitation as well as Trigger Point Dry Needling and Holistic Menopause Coaching. Natasha is always challenging herself to continue to learn and grow herself as well as help improve her clients overall health and mobility,her husband even calls her a "Lifelong Student"

Prior to working in Physical Therapy, Natasha served in the United States Army as a Civil Affairs Specialist (May 2000-June 2002) and as a Paralegal Specialist (June 2002-Nov 2007), deploying to both Afghanistan (2004-2005) and Iraq (2206-2007).

HOBBIES: Natasha is a avid soccer player and fan. She began playing soccer around the age of 8yrs old and has served as a youth soccer coach for approximately 15 years. In addition to soccer, Natasha enjoys surfing, snowboarding, spending time with family and friends,especially her husband, two daughters and her two dogs.

Amy Weinheimer, PT, DPT, CST-T

Amy Weinheimer graduated from Shenandoah University Physical Therapy in 1994, putting her at almost 30 years of experience. She began her career at the Cleveland Clinic and then opened a new PT business in Charlottesville in 1995. She closed her business in 2010 and shifted to skilled nursing as well as home health giving her experience in all 4 fields of physical therapy. She completed her doctorate degree in 2008. She returned to outpatient PT in 2017 and began teaching Anatomy and Physiology at Piedmont Virginia Community College at that time.

Amy's focus is on whole body alignment with attention to all aspects of healing: Mind, body, and Self. She has acquired certifications in Cranial Sacral Therapy, McKenzie, Mulligan’s Mobilizations, Pilates mat instruction, and Dry needling throughout her career.

She considers herself a bio-mechanist, chasing the anatomy to find the root cause of a patient’s dysfunction using every trick in her bag, if necessary, rather than just treating their symptoms. She swam competitively from 8 years old until completion of college as a scholarship athlete at Miami University giving her a “no quit” attitude when it comes to solving even the most complicated cases.

Her hobbies include cycling, hiking, and swimming for the Charlottesville master’s program whenever she can. She also enjoys spending time with her Corgi.
